What have you read that you think everyone should read?
The Death Note manga is wonderful. *doesn't actually read much manga, so there's nothing more she can say about the subject*

After School Charisma. Ellen recommended it to me. It's a school that is designed to school and house the clones of the many talented brains in science, music, etc. Has humor, angst and an intriguing plot.
I totally dig Napolean.

Oh, God, so many good manga out there. Skip Beat! is must-read shojo, and so is Love Com... Oh, and NG Life is really cute, though it seems like no one but me and Leah has heard of it. xxxHolic... Bunny Drop... Fushigi Yuugi: Genbu Kaiden... Oh, and Kimi Ni Todoke! Honey and Clover... Wandering Son (which focuses on trans-gender issues)... Aqua, and its sequel, Aria, though I don't know if anyone'll pick it up now that Tokyopop's gone out of business... High School Debut, though it has its draggy points. And of course, 7 Seeds, which is only available through scanslations but which rocks every sock in my drawer. I sooo want someone to publish it here! I'll probably add more later.

I suggest Pandora Hearts, personally. It's not a yaoi, but it's where I got my first yaoi OTP from~ It's an interesting coming-of-age-story-gone-wrong type thing. It has a big alice in wonderland theme, if that's anyone's cup of tea. I also suggest the manga version of Card Captor Sakura. It's just a really sweet story. <3

I'm gonna suggest 'Drama Con'. This manga's art style falls somewhere between american anime and shoujo. It's about an American girl attending her first anime convention. As such, it is the perfect series to read either right before or right after attending ones first big convention. *cough* AWA *cough* At times it is heart breaking, anxious, and captures the fears of a first time con goer very aptly. At other times it is sweet, delightful, and exceedingly funny, also feelings you will probably feel whilst attending a con.
To top it all off, it is only three volumes long and is often sold in a hardcover full series collection book for perchasing convenience. While you will inevitably be sad to see Drama Con end, the length is rather perfect for a college student who needs to finish reading quickly so they have time to do their homework. Or, even better, for reading in between panels at the actual con!

Oh, I've read some of Drama Con! It was really cute! But I thought the bookstore was asking too much money for it.

I'v read Drama Con too, and my little sister owns the hard cover copy, while my younger cousin owns the original three volumes! It's a favorite of mine, and in fact, I was reading through to see if anyone had promoted it, saw that it was promoted, and thought, 'why not throw in my two cents anyway? It's a great read!' Also, it's available through most library systems. But what I really came in here to promote as my all time favorite is Dragon Knights by Mineko Ohkami. I own all volumes except 13 and 18 of a 26 volume series. The plot and artwork is awesome, though a bit hard to keep up with sometimes.

The Yu Yu Hakusho manga is also really good. My goal is to have the whole set.

I also enjoyed Dragon Knights when I read it, though I must admit that the plot did lose me at several points.
The YYH manga is also quite good but I think I prefer the anime. In my opinion, when a series is so very centered on action and fighting scenes, it's important to see the movement of those fights, or else you lose something in the process. Alternatively, I have read plenty of fight-oriented manga that I enjoyed quite a bit, YYH being one of them.

I do prefer the anime, too, but I love YYH so much I want to own all of the manga and all of the anime. ^^' The manga also has a few stories that aren't in the anime, in addition to some lines that are different from what they are in the anime, which helps to add more humor. I also like reading the little blurbs that Togashi puts in there sometimes.
