Here is where we can discuss future bake sales, figure out who is doing what, etc.
Twice this week, I was not informed that the sale I would be helping with was canceled. It happened on Thursday. It happened today. While Thursday meant I actually had free time, today it meant that I ended up wasting 7 and a half hours at Agnes, due to the decisions I made while taking into account what I thought my schedule was.
I've calmed down from since my initial reaction to realizing that I had wasted that much time of my day. But I still feel this needs to be said: if we can't make sure everyone knows what they're doing and when, I will not be volunteering for any more fundraising for Anime Club. My time is not cheap, and it's becoming harder to come by.

Yeah, that's totally my fault. Unfortunately, I've been so busy with other club(s) matters (and school) that the more "closer at hand issues" completely pass me. Which is a first that this has happened.
That's what I get for taking a break from my secretarial duties for a day (or two). I'm not going to let it happen again, Rose, but you get the free pass from volunteering in the future.
Although I have to say this as well, no one's time is cheap, which I guess is why it's even more important for me to stay on top of things.

I know no one's time is cheap. I just felt like mine was being treated as such today. AMV-making helped me feel better, though.
Part of the reason it peeved me off so much was because there's not just you, but Leah, Erin, Ellen, Isabel, and anyone else who knew about the cancellation. Sure, you're secretary and the technician thingy, but you're not the only officer or club member, and you have the ability to delegate. Someone should have been double-checking to make sure everyone knew about it. (I don't care who, just someone.) If it was just you, I wouldn't have been so mad about it earlier, since people make mistakes, and I've been doing the same thing. I missed an academic advising meeting simply because I forgot about it until hours after it was supposed to happen. It's more the fact that more than one person could have been able to tell me.

Ah, sorry. I would've said something if I'd known weren't getting the message. I just wasn't aware it was an issue. Francoise sent out an e-mail about it, but apparently, that wasn't enough... What can we do to better get the information across?

There was no e-mail in my inbox before I left the house. Getting to campus via walking takes fifteen minutes, and I was going to be on the 10am shift. So e-mails have to get out either the day before or someone has to literally call me if it's getting to be a few hours before.

It was only after Rose called me that I sent out an email to you guys. It was after 10am. I was planning on sending out an email but I had done it too late.

Ah, I see. It seems like the real problem here is lack of planning for such cancellations. So... we should probably come up with some kind of protocol for stuff like this so it doesn't happen again. Officers need to know what they should do in such a case, and members need to know where they should look to check for cancellations. We could use the forums or e-mail, or both. Or, perhaps, if it's a last minute cancelation, a phone call or text message may be necessary. Any suggestions on how this should work?
