It was awesome up until the point where I couldn't shake off feeling dizzy, no matter how much water I drank or how long I rested. I was able to get up for the Costume Contest, though, even though I completely missed the memo about actually signing up for it.
The music was great, as was the food. Aside from my body deciding it wasn't going to work anymore, the only thing I didn't enjoy was when Maggie interrupted my little "say something in character" thing to crack a joke. It was rude, and it made me feel like I wasn't getting a fair shot at it like everyone else did. Those who did win prizes for the costumes certainly deserved them - especially Jo with her Tuxedo Mask cosplay. If it was a vote-for-your-favorite type of thing, I certainly wouldn't have voted for myself. But I still felt a little sabotaged because of what Maggie said.

I do have to agree that that comment was a little out of left field - but I think that if you have a problem someone not *something*, you should talk to them about it, instead of on a public forum like this. What goes on the internet stays on the internet. However, I do go talk to Erin about the judgement guidelines. She said that contestants were judged on: 1) Technical merit (did they make their costume or did they buy it?) 2) Audience response 3) 10 sec skit And lastly, but not least 4) If they stayed in character the entire night. Apparently, this was a last minute decision to have the costume contest. I guess my only "complaint" would be that it would have been nice to know what the guidelines were beforehand. Everything else was a blast though.

(( How late am I to this little discussion? Very late, thank you.))
So I thought Wizard's Ball went off really well, but some of that might come off biased as I was involved with two committees and felt good about getting pay off from all the work.
And Rose, I apologize if I upset you, I can assure you that I was only trying to be silly and make an "all in good fun" comment, and since I can make Hetalia related jokes, I did. I'm sorry it upset you, and if you want to talk about it, you can email me anytime.
And to everyone else, CHEERS, we did a great job, let's get ready for Nerd Prom!

I suppose the only thing that we could work on is getting more people to come. Unfortunately, the problem with this complaint is that I have no idea how to address the problem. I am not an expert at how to gain attention, so...yay?! Sorry, this was unhelpful...

I would like to make it clear that I had a blast! It was a great success!
To stick with the wizards theme: LOTR
Camelot
Discworld (this is a bit more obscure given that not every one reads Terry Pratchett)
Fairies!!!! (this could involve so much gliter it would be awesome. We could even have a resting area made of "iron" to ward the fay away.)
THUMBELINA!
Narnia theme could be pretty awesome as well.
These are all possibilities for a theme. They can all be magical!! So...I am all out of ideas.

With the Narnia theme, if you have enough funding cheap little yellow and green rings would be cute (for any of you guys have read the Magician's Nephew!) All the decorations could center around the books. We could do all sorts of things!! It is an unlimited source of options! Great idea.
-Maggie really wants to do this, so she has already volunteered to be the head honcho on this bitch...so...yeah.

@maggie, I'll e-mail you once I stop slowly losing my mind. Or at least until after I know what's going to happen with the Ireland trip class I'm in now that I can't go on said Ireland trip.
Also, I LOVE THE NARNIA IDEA. Can that one please be the next theme? Please please PLEASE?
